Ok, so why are we, a Minnesota pest control company talking about sugar cookies? Well, aside from us sharing a classic holiday favorite, there are also some pest threats associated with holiday baking. As you are digging through your pantry in search of the old flour and sugar, you want to make sure that you do not encounter pantry pests.
Pantry pests include several types of beetles and moths that infest mostly stored products like baking supplies, grains, cereals, dried fruit, and even your pet’s food. And while they are not going to cause you harm in regards to biting or anything, they will leave the food they infested contaminated and it will need to be properly disposed of.
While pantry pests can be prevented by paying close attention to the foods that you toss into the grocery cart and always throwing away foods in your home that are infested, if you have a pantry pest infestation in Minneapolis or Alexandria, MN; Lincoln or Omaha, NE; or throughout the Quad City region that you are unable to control, then be sure to contact us at Plunkett’s Pest Control. And from our whole team at Plunkett’s, happy holiday baking…minus the pests!BACK TO BLOG
